We worked with local run legend Bob from Kilsyth Runners, who needed a fresh new look to continue the growth and popularity of this much loved community run club. Known for being inclusive, supportive, and a little bit cheeky, Kilsyth Runners is a social run club for all levels, from first-time joggers to seasoned marathoners. With their motto “don’t be shit”, the club champions progress over perfection, focusing on fun, community, and a shared love of running.

Strategy
Kilsyth Runners is built for every kind of runner from someone taking their first steps into running to experienced runners chasing their next target or personal best.
The strategy centred around creating a brand where progress is personal, but the experience is shared. Whether the goal is a first 5K, a faster 10K, a marathon PB or simply getting out for a run each week, everyone has their own reason for showing up. Rather than defining the club by pace or ability, the brand is built around encouragement, progression and community giving people a safe place to run, improve and achieve whatever their version of progress looks like.

Logo mark
The Kilsyth Runners mark brings the K and R together into one bold, continuous symbol. The overlapping letterforms create a sense of movement and forward momentum, with the strong diagonals giving the mark the energy you’d expect from a running brand without relying on obvious footprints, trainers or running figures.
There’s also something intentionally raw and uncomplicated about it. Kilsyth Runners isn’t an elite athletics club, it’s a community of people getting out, putting one foot in front of the other and doing it together. The mark needed to carry that same attitude.
Bold enough to work on a running top.
Simple enough to spot from across the street.
Distinctive enough to become a badge the community can own.
